I-4 West of SR 528 Beachline to West of Kirkman Road - Segment 2

Orange County

As a 21-mile roadway improvement project, the I-4 expansion will add four new express lanes in the center of I-4. The project addresses needs from west of Kirkman Road to east of SR 434. The purpose of the project is to relieve congestion by providing the option to use the newly built express lanes by paying a toll. With the intention of further improving mobility, the Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) will construct designated on and off points. The project is currently in the study phase. This project has received funding and land acquisition is scheduled to begin in 2022.
