SR 710 from US 441 to L-63 Canal

Okeechobee County

The extension of SR 710 is anticipated to be an urban arterial roadway. The proposed extension will serve as a bypass route to address traffic congestion at the intersection of SR 70 and US 441 (Segment 1 & 2) and to help reduce truck traffic through the City of Okeechobee. The length of the project from US 441 to east of L-63N Canal will be 3.58 miles with a 4-lane divided high speed urban typical section and 4-lane divided rural typical section. This project will also address additional drainage issues and bridges at Taylor Creek and L-63N Canal. The goal of Segment 3 & 4 is to increase capacity.
