SR 20 from Southwest 56th Avenue to CR 315

Putnam County

The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) has proposed a 12 mile, three segment roadway widening from east of US 301 in Hawthorne to County Road 315 in Interlachen. The third segment is the eastern segment from SW 56th Avenue to CR 315 and is pictured below. The widening of the corridor is expected to provide additional mobility and increase overall safety. The project will widen the existing two lane road to a four lane urban roadway with medians, bike lanes, and sidewalks. Additionally, a 10 foot multi use path will be constructed on the south side of the roadway. The estimated Right-of-Way budget for the three segment project is $34.3 million. The start date for the third segment of the project has not yet been determined.
