The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) has plans to widen and reconstruct SR 40 at the I-75 interchange to provide two left turn lanes to both northbound and southbound I-75. There are also supplementary plans to widen and add an additional left turn lane to the SR 40 and 27th Ave. intersection. Right turn lanes will be added from eastbound SR 40 to southbound 27th Ave. The project is expected to be 1.33 miles long with a $8 million dollar Right-of-Way budget. Appraisals should begin in September, 2017 with negotiations beginning in April, 2018. Construction is currently scheduled for June, 2019.
