The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) has completed design plans to widen SR 426 and CR 419 to four lanes. The approved design for this phase consists of a four lane corridor with a raised median. The design calls for bicycle lanes in both directions. Right-of-Way acquisition for the SR 426 and CR 419 expansion is underway and is expected to continue until the end of 2017. Phase 3 of the project (Avenue B to west of Lockwood Boulevard) is still awaiting proper funding.
