The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) is currently conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate and choose between multiple alternatives to widen SR 514 (Malabar Road) from a two lane roadway to a four lane divided urban roadway. The project will run from SR 507 (Babcock Street) to US 1. The final State Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) was completed in June of 2018. The study team is now performing additional analysis before moving to the Design phase. The Design phase is funded for 2020, no funding for right-of-way acquisition or construction have been budgeted at this time.
