The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”), is currently in the Design phase for a 10.2 mile section in Seminole County between State Road 434 and US 17-92. The purpose of the project is to provide enhanced mobility throughout Central Florida on I-4. The project will improve the three General Use lanes and add two new Express Lanes in each direction, resulting in a total of ten lanes. Right-of-Way for segment 3 is expected to impact 49 parcels, and is funded to begin acquisition in 2021. Construction is anticipated to begin in either 2026 or 2027.
