Orange County has approved a plan to construct Lake Underhill Road in three separate segments, as well as add various other improvements.
The Segments are:
Segment 1: Goldenrod Rd to Chickasaw Tr
Segment 2: Econlockhatchee Tr to Rouse Rd;
Segment 3: Chickasaw Tr to Econlockhatchee Tr.
These improvements include new sidewalks, bike lanes and better lighting. Segment 1 completed construction in November 2013. Segment 2 is currently in the Design phase which is anticipated to be completed in January 2019. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2021 and should be completed by March 2023. Segment 3 is currently on hold and will advance once funding becomes available.
