The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) is finishing the Design phase for the widening State Road (SR) 414 from east of I-4 to east of County Road (CR) 427 (Maitland Avenue). The project includes the widening of the road from a suburban 4-lane facility to an urban 6-lane facility separated by a wide raised median. FDOT has budgeted $5.6 million for eminent domain acquisition which is scheduled to be completed in late 2018. Construction is expected to begin in 2019 and is budgeted for $11.8 million.
