The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) is currently in the Design phase of a project to widen SR 434 (Forest City Road) from SR 424 (Edgewater Drive) to the Seminole County line in Orange County. The project will widen SR 434 to six lanes – one lane in each direction will be added to the median. Additionally, median openings will be widened, 4-foot bike lanes will be added, and the east curb line will be reconstructed. Right-of-way has been budgeted for $3.5 million.
