The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) is currently in the Design phase of a project to improve State Road (SR) 551 (Goldenrod Road) from SR 408 to SR 50. The project includes: milling and resurfacing, widening bike lanes, constructing a raised median, and traffic signal upgrades. FDOT has budgeted $1.3 million for Right-of-Way acquisition beginning in 2019. Letting is scheduled for Spring 2021 and Construction will begin shortly thereafter.
