The Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”) is currently in the Design phase of a project to widen and realign US 301 (SR 41) from SR 39 to South of CR 54. The project will widen US 301 from two lanes to a four lane divided roadway. Bike lanes and sidewalks will also be added along both sides of the roadways. Right of way has been budgeted for $26 million, construction has not yet been funded and will be scheduled at a later date.
