Do I Have to go to Court to be Treated Fairly in Eminent Domain?

Hello, my name is Raymer Maguire, I’m an eminent domain attorney of 30 years, and I represent property owners and businesses. The question at hand is, do I have to go to court to get treated fairly? The answer is, no. Less than 1 out of 200 of the many parcels per year or per multiple years that I represent have to go to court. The reason being is, is that they settle either before the government has even filed suit, or they settle right at the time that the Order of Taking is entered, or they settle at mediation, or they might settle just before you go to court. But very seldom do the cases go to a jury, and require you, the property owner, to sit through a five day jury trial.
