The question at hand is, if property adjacent to mine is condemned, and I lose access to my property because of it, can I recover money? Certainly. We’re assuming with this question that you have legal access through an access easement or something like that through the property that’s been taken. By taking the adjacent property, they’ve also taken your legal right for access through that property. When they take that, you have a property right being taken and you deserve compensation.
