Raymer F. Maguire III
Raymer has over 29 years of eminent domain and trial experience. Focusing solely on eminent domain cases since 1988, Raymer has represented over 1080 property owners and businesses, and has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s “Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in Legal Ability & Ethical Standards” for the last eighteen years. Raymer is the third of four Orange county Maguires practicing law from 1915 to present.
A native of Orlando, Raymer is the third generation of a family that traces its Florida roots back over 130 years to the shores of Lake Apopka. He is committed to continuing his family’s tradition of community investment, by fostering the local community’s sustainable development. Raymer has represented clients against condemning authorities at the city, county, and state levels in more than a dozen Florida counties.
Raymer received his B.A. with Honors from the University of Florida (1975), and received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 1979 where he was published in the FSU Law Review. He has served on the board of several local organizations, including the Valencia College Board of Trustees, Valencia College Foundation, Central Care Mission, the Kiwanis Club of Orlando, and the Citrus Club Board of Governors. Harold A. Lassman
After ten years in private practice, Harold decided that his passion was eminent domain law. With over 32 years of experience in the field, he is among the most tenured eminent domain attorneys in the state of Florida, having practiced solely in the area of eminent domain since 1983. Before this, Harold held the position of Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Transportation for over 20 years.
A native of Erie, PA, Harold holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Kent State University (1968) and a J.D. and L.L.M. in Tax from the University of Miami, School of Law (1973, 1980). After graduation, he gained admittance to the Florida Bar as well as the State Bar of Georgia. Harold was a state ranked competitive swimmer in Pennsylvania, and is a decorated Army veteran.
Harold has authored and presented multiple CLE video seminars on eminent domain law. When not practicing law or instructing others on the practice of law, Harold enjoys spending time with his wife of over 44 years, his son and daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter. Harold also enjoys the study of genealogy which has enabled him to trace his family’s history back over 1,000 years.GO BACK
Matthew started his involvement with eminent domain law in 2006 as a legal intern, and is now proud to represent Florida property owners in their eminent domain actions as part of the team at Maguire Lassman, P.A. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida, and graduated law school from Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2014. During law school, Matthew received multiple first-in-class awards and became a licensed county court mediator.
Matthew is a second generation native Floridian, born and raised in the Central Florida area. In addition to his work in the field of eminent domain, Matthew has authored numerous CLE presentations on the basic rules of Florida evidence. When not practicing law, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife Audrey and daughter Evie, hosting various in-home studies, woodworking, and fishing.GO BACK
