FIND YOUR ROAD PROJECT:

CR 470 from CR 527 to the Florida Turnpike

Sumter County

The Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") is currently conducting a Project Development and Environment Study ("PD&E") to consider improvements to County Road 470 from County Road 527 to the Florida Turnpike (State Road 91), a distance of approximately 10.6 miles. This project will take place in Sumter and Lake Counties. The recommended alternative would include a 4-lane divided roadway for improved traffic flow as population increases. Right-of-Way acquisition is expected to cost $24.5 million, and Construction is expected to cost $75 million. The study is expected to be completed by the end of this month, October 2017. Sumter County

The proposed Sabal Trail pipeline project will include approximately 465 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline (55 miles in Alabama, 196 miles in Georgia, and 214 miles in Florida) and initially at least 2 compressor stations in Alabama and Florida. The pipeline will be capable of transporting 1 billion cubic feet per day or more of natural gas to serve local distribution companies, industrial users and natural gas-fired power generators in the Southeast markets.
