Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC Plans to Take Property for the Sabal Trail Natural Gas Pipeline

Sumter County

The proposed Sabal Trail pipeline project will include approximately 465 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline (55 miles in Alabama, 196 miles in Georgia, and 214 miles in Florida) and initially at least 2 compressor stations in Alabama and Florida. The pipeline will be capable of transporting 1 billion cubic feet per day or more of natural gas to serve local distribution companies, industrial users and natural gas-fired power generators in the Southeast markets. To complete this project, STT plans to acquire (via eminent domain, if needed) hundreds of parcels of property in various Florida counties, including Alachua, Columbia, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lake Levy, Marion, Osceola, Polk, Sumter and Suwannee counties.  Maguire Lassman, P.A., a Florida law firm that represents private property owners in eminent domain matters, has received and reviewed Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC’s latest corridor study that indicates the potential property that may be acquired to complete this project.
