SR 60 from CR 630 to E of the Kissimmee River Bridge

Polk County

The Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") is currently conducting a Project Development and Environment Study ("PD&E") on a segment of State Road 60 in Polk and Osceola Counties. The study runs from County Road 630 in Polk County to east of the Kissimmee River Bridge in Osceola County, a distance of 8 miles. FDOT is currently evaluating several alternatives to widen the roadway from two to four lanes. In addition, a parallel bridge would need to be constructed at the Kissimmee River to accommodate the new lanes. The study is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. FDOT's Tentative Five-Year Work Program includes funding for Design in 2019 for the segment from CR 630 to Grape Hammock Road, and in 2021 for the segment from Grape Hammock Road to east of the Kissimmee River Bridge. Construction is currently unfunded.
